Mr. Frank has been working tirelessly on this since we tripped over into COVIDWORLD. It is with great pride and delight that we can say that there is still a way to play games, with your comrades and Drekkheds, even in these strange times.
- One person needs to own copy of The Isle of Cats.
- Everyone else needs pen and paper.
- (+and a computer/smart phone/or a good postal system!)
From the release:
The Isle of Cats Remote Edition provides a way of playing the game with friends and family who are not physically located within the same room as you. It can be played via webcam, or photo, and offers streamers a way of playing with their viewers.
One player takes the role of the game master and they will need a physical copy of The Isle of Cats to run the game. The other players only need a player sheet which can be downloaded below, and a pen.
This list is still to be updated as the year progresses (and the whole world wide mutant virus thing goes away, of course) but so far Cityverse appearances will be:
GAMA- Game Manufacturers Trade Expo March 9th-12th (US)
Frank will be delivering a talk on the 10th about running a successful Kickstarter, where he’ll be showcasing techniques and stories from the three City campaigns.
UKGE – UK Games Expo May 29th-31 (UK)
Come get eyes on, play games of, chat and generally hang out! Frank will have The City of Kings, Vadoran Gardens, and of course The Isle of Cats.
GenCon – July 30th-Aug 2nd (US)
Arguably the worlds largest tabletop games convention. All City games will be present! Trying to convince Frank to make an Earthshaker cosplay suit, but we’ll see… XD
The Isle of Cats got a Seal of Excellence from Dice Tower’s Mike DiLisio!
Mike is looking at the Isle’s play-ability as a solo game, which I know has been a super-important feature for Frank and the City of Games HQ. Muchos Gracias!
Isle of Cats Feedback
Would you like to help the City improve the game? Your feedback is important, and so over here we’re keeping a log of scores and achievements. This helps us make sure the game can be developed in the best way possible.
And over here is the City of Games Newsletter for sporadic, infrequent updates and going’s-on in the Cityverse (and beyond…)
